"Services" means any publishing, editing, proofreading, formatting, design, illustration, marketing, website development, consultation, audiobook, or related services provided by Book Publishing Assistant UK.

"Project" means any work commissioned by the Client.

2. Independent Service Provider

Book Publishing Assistant UK is an independent publishing services company.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, authorised by, or officially associated with Amazon, Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), Barnes & Noble Press, IngramSpark, Apple Books, Kobo, Google Play Books, or any other publishing or distribution platform unless expressly stated.

All trademarks, logos, company names, and brand names remain the property of their respective owners.

3. Services

We provide professional publishing and author support services, including but not limited to:

  • Book Editing
  • Proofreading
  • Book Formatting
  • Cover Design
  • Illustration Services
  • Ghostwriting
  • Publishing Assistance
  • Audiobook Production
  • Author Website Development
  • Book Marketing
  • Consultation Services
  • Custom Publishing Solutions

The scope of each project shall be governed by the selected service package, proposal, quotation, invoice, or any written agreement between the Company and the Client.

4. Payments

Clients agree to pay the fees applicable to the selected services.

  • Certain projects require full or partial payment before work commences.
  • Payment schedules will be confirmed prior to the start of the project.
  • Additional work requested outside the agreed scope may incur additional charges.
  • Final files, publishing credentials, source files, or deliverables may be withheld until all outstanding invoices have been paid in full.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all payments are non-transferable.

5. Revisions

Revision allowances vary depending on the purchased service package.

Clients are responsible for reviewing all submitted work and providing feedback within a reasonable timeframe.

Requests outside the agreed revision allowance or changes involving new project requirements may be treated as additional work and charged accordingly.

6. Client Responsibilities

The Client agrees to:

  • Provide accurate information and project requirements.
  • Supply all necessary manuscripts, files, images, and content.
  • Obtain permission for any third-party materials submitted.
  • Review and approve work promptly.
  • Respond to requests for information within a reasonable timeframe.

Project deadlines may be extended where delays are caused by the Client.

7. Intellectual Property

The Client retains ownership of all original content supplied to us.

Upon receipt of full payment, ownership of the final deliverables specifically created for the Client shall transfer to the Client unless otherwise agreed in writing.

The Client represents and warrants that any content supplied does not infringe the intellectual property or other legal rights of any third party.

Book Publishing Assistant UK reserves the right to display completed work within its portfolio or promotional materials unless the Client requests confidentiality in writing prior to project completion.

8. Publishing and Marketing Disclaimer

We provide professional publishing guidance, production, and marketing support.

However, we do not guarantee:

  • Acceptance by any publishing platform.
  • Book sales.
  • Bestseller status.
  • Rankings on any online marketplace.
  • Advertising or marketing performance.
  • Reviews, ratings, publicity, or reader engagement.
  • Financial returns or commercial success.

Publishing and marketing outcomes depend on numerous factors outside our control.

9. Project Inactivity

If we do not receive any written communication, approvals, required materials, or responses from the Client for a period of forty-five (45) consecutive days, the project may be placed on hold and considered inactive.

Inactive projects may be subject to reactivation fees.

Projects abandoned by the Client are not eligible for refunds unless otherwise required by law.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Book Publishing Assistant UK shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, special, exemplary, or punitive losses or damages arising from the use of our website or services.

Our total aggregate liability relating to any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Client for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion is prohibited by law, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Refund Policy

Refund requests are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions.

Clients are encouraged to review the Refund Policy before purchasing any services.

12. Privacy

The collection, storage, and processing of personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy.

By using our website or services, you acknowledge that your personal information will be processed in accordance with that Privacy Policy.

13. Force Majeure

We shall not be responsible for delays or failure to perform our obligations where such delay or failure results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, governmental actions, power failures, internet outages, labour disputes, cyber-attacks, or failures of third-party service providers.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between the Company and the Client regarding the use of our website and services and supersede any prior discussions or understandings relating to the same subject matter.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless applicable consumer protection laws provide otherwise.

17. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.

Any revisions will become effective once published on this page together with the updated effective date.
